INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S RUGBY TOURNAMENT ON SATURDAY 24TH AND SUNDAY 25TH OF MAY 2008 VERDUN – FRANCE
Hello ,
first , I would like to introduce myself . My name is Nathalie Pouzenc , I‘m French , I am in charge of the ladies rugby teams in the north east of France. I‘m organizing for the third time an international tournament ( 20 euros/person entry fee required ) taking place this time on the Spring bank holiday week-end in the populous city of Verdun in the heart of the most important events of World War 1 with the most famous battle of the century . http://www.verdun-tourisme.com/
There are different ways of coming to Verdun ( in the northeastern France ) :
1 / Fly to Paris and then take the train ‘TGV MEUSE ‘ ( only 1 hour journey ) at the ‘gare de l’ EST ‘. This way would be a great opportunity to visit Paris at the same time. If you book a long time before, the prices are really cheap . http://www.cg55.fr/cadredevie/tgv.html

I ‘m looking for ladies rugby teams ( SENIORS) to join us . There will be 5 foreign teams and three French teams . You just need to ask your federation for the permission to tour overseas and to send it back to me .
In a few words , I’m going to tell you how the week-end will go just to give you an idea (more details in the entry form )
Satuday : teams welcome – sightseeing –night at the hotel
Sunday : breakfast , lunch , game , a snack after the games
The night at the hotel , breakfast , lunch snack are free.

This will be a fun and social event !!!! Good time will be had by all. Last year was a big success , we had teams from England ( the Wasps and The Old leamingtonians ) , from Ireland ( the Portlaoise ) .

The International Youth Rugby Tournament of Provins welcomes teams from all around the world.
The Weekend of 3th and 4th May 2008.
In 2006 : CHRISTCHURH (NZ) PRETORIA ( RSA )
In 2007 : MOSCOW ( RUSSIA ) SARACENS ( ENGLAND ) LIVORNO (ITALY)
This tournament is open to two categories of youth players: Under-15s (born in 1993 and 1994) and Under-17s (born in 1991 and 1992).
In the last 4 years we have hosted teams from:
South Africa, New Zealand,Russia , Italy
The national teams of Thailand and Luxemburg,
English, Belgium and Holland (national champions),
French departmental sides,
Their willingness to return is a testimony to the quality of our organisation.
Ten teams will be allocated to each category. The matches will be under the control of referees of the French Rugby Federation (FFR). Each participant will receive a souvenir gift.
On 3th and 4th May, the pitches are open for communal training and gatherings in friendship, emphasising the comradeship and spirit of rugby which we hold dear.
This tournament takes place in Provins, a medieval town classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This will enable the accompanying adults to enjoy themselves and for the young people to play rugby in a fantastic setting.
We will be very pleased to count you amongst our guests in 2008.

Le tournoi de Provins accueillera des équipes de jeunes de tous les pays
Le week-end du 3 et 4 mai 2008
Lors des quatre dernières années nous avons reçu
Des formations de Nouvelle Zélande , d’ Afrique du Sud , Russie , Italie , Ecosse
Des équipes nationales ( Thailande, Luxembourg )
Des clubs Anglais comme les saracens par exemple , Belges, Hollandais (champion nationaux )
Des sélections départementales françaises
Des clubs de niveau Teuliere et Almacery
Le tournoi se déroulera le 3 et 4 mai 2008 – Il rassemblera 8 à 10 équipes par catégorie –
Les rencontres sont dirigées par des arbitres de la fédération française de rugby – Chaque participant recevra un présent
Le tournoi est ouvert à deux catégories, les moins de 15 ans ( nés en 1993 et 1994 ) et les moins de 17 ans ( nés en 1991 et 1992 )
Après le défilé en ville ( à 11 heures ) le 3 mai après – midi , le tournoi débutera –
Cette journée se terminera par un banquet ( équipe et dirigeants ) Cela favorise la convivialité et l’esprit du rugby qui nous tient à coeur.
Le 4 mai se déroulera la suite du tournoi sur toute la journée
Le tournoi se déroule à Provins , ville médiévale classée au patrimoine de l’UNESCO. Cela permet aux accompagnateurs de passer de bons moments ,de visier la ville et aux jeunes de jouer dans un cadre fantastique.

As you must know, France and more especially Marseilles is hosting Rugby World Cup 2007. In margin of this event, the Provence Rugby Committee is organising an International Ladies Beach Rugby Tournament.
I am writing to give you the opportunity to take part in such this event.
The International Ladies Beach Rugby Tournament will be held on September 8th and 9th in Marseilles on the Prado Beach. Every participant will be invited to the Velodrome Stadium to watch the New-Zealand / Italy game counting for group C of the RWC 2007.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S RUGBY TOURNAMENT – EASTER BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND 7 & 8 APRIL 2007 – MULHOUSE – FRANCE
Hello,
First, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Nathalie Pouzenc, I’m French, and I am in charge of the ladies rugby teams in the north east of France.
I’m organizing the Second International Women’s Rugby Tournament, which is subsidised. Your 20 euros per person entry fee covers your airport transfer, transport for the weekend plus accommodation on Saturday night, you pay only your flights and personal spending money (if you want to extend your stay it’s possible , it will be 30 euros a night for two people).
Taking place in Mulhouse during the Easter Bank Holiday week-end we are sure it will be just as successful as last years’ Tournament when we had ten teams from Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland as well as French teams.
Mulhouse is in the Alsace region of France famous for its Riesling wine and many regional foodspecialities.
It is close to the border of Germany and Switzerland, with Luxembourg, Strasbourg and Basel easily accessible by road and rail. There is plenty of sightseeing in the locality and we plan to organise a trip to the famous local car museum, which you can look up on the internet
You can fly to Bale/Mulhouse airport, from where we will arrange transfer by coach.
I’m looking for women’s rugby teams to join us:
–Women over 18 years old (full team game)
–Women aged 16 to 17 years old (7 players’ game)
The format of the games will be roughly 20 minutes per game with each team playing four games a day. In France we are allowed to play only eighty minutes per team per day.
Saturday 7th:
2 pm teams welcome – sightseeing – evening meal and disco (in addition to the meal last year every team brought food from their country like cheese, cake, wine, it was a sharing moment……) – night at the hotel
Sunday 8th:
breakfast, games start at 10 am, lunch, games, the tournament finish at 5pm with prize giving, a snack after the games
