Weihnachten auf Sand – II. Hanseatic Beach Masters am 27. Dezember!
Auch diesen Winter richten die Jesteburg Wombats in Zusammenarbeit mit dem BeachCenter Hamburg (www.beachhamburg.de) die Hanseatic Beach Masters aus. Gespielt wird am Samstag, den 27. Dezember direkt nach den Weihnachtsfeiertagen von ca. 10 – 16 Uhr in der besten Beachhalle unserer schönen Hansestadt.
Danach bietet der Hamburger Kiez genügend Möglichkeiten für eine zünftige dritte Halbzeit. Aufgrund organisatorischer Engpässe fand die Planung mal wieder recht kurzfristig statt. Dennoch wird es hoffentlich wieder ein gut gefülltes Teilnehmerfeld geben. Mit Vorjahressieger “The Romantics” haben die ersten Hochkaräter bereits zugesagt.

Passend zu Rheinland-Pfalz Meisterschaft in der Saison 2007/08 erhält der RC Worms nun ein neues Sportgelände welches mit dem Nibelungenpokal feierlich mit offiziellen Vertretern der Stadt Worms eingeweiht wird.

12 Hour Rugby is a charity rugby match organised by the Altrincham Kersal Women’s Rugby Team. It has run bi-annually since 2002 and is currently in the planning stages for the 2008 event. The monies raised from the 2008 event will go to help support The Pituitary Foundation and the Breast Cancer Campaign.
How does 12 Hour Rugby Work?
In previous years 12 Hour Rugby has consisted of one single continuous women’s rugby match, running from 8am to 8pm. It used a three-team rotation system with teams changing every 1/2 hour in order to allow players some time for rest, recuperation, food and drink, and running repairs. This means each participant could play as much as 8 hours of rugby in one day. This method has worked well so far and wil be used again in 2008.
Is that all?
No! Altrincham Kersal are a fun sociable club, and if you have any energy left after all that rugby, there’s usually at least a disco put on afterwards for entertainment, and a bar to help you numb the pain.

Men’s, Women’s and U17 Youth tournament
The beautiful baroque city of Dresden is the backdrop for this tournament which will take place on 14th (men and women) & 15th (U17) June 2008. Dresden located in the southern part of former East Germany approximately between Berlin and Prague and near both the Polish and Czech borders. The tournament will coincide with a huge street party called the “Bunte Republik Neustadt” which will be centred around Dresden’s lively Pub and Club district – the “Neustadt”.
15 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams are expected on Saturday 14th June and 15 youth teams (U17) are expected on Sunday. Each of the men’s teams and youth (U17) teams will play a minimum of 4 games in the three groups with a possible two extra games for the semi finals and finals. The women will play in two groups and will play 4-5 games each, including a cup and a plate semi finals and cup and plate finals.

Members of Rugby Club Krusevac are very happy to invite your side to take part in 6th International Rugby Sevens Tournament – KRUSEVAC 2008 that will be held on August 23&24, 2008.
All show-up sides will enjoy this opportunity to get to know our town and its places of interest, apart from playing in this very unique Rugby Festival.
The Tournament will consist of 2 levels:

From the first tournament ,2001, more than 40 teams from Australia, Fiji,England, Bulgaria, Russia, Romania, Wales, Hungary, Poland, Bosnia&Herzegovina, Belgie and Serbia took part on Krusevac 7s.
Participation fee is 150 Euros per side for Seniors, 80 Euros per side for Ladies.

– barbeque and drink on the pitch after closing ceremony
We can offer a few options for accommodations:
– Student hostel – price 13 Euros per person/per day (include accommodation and 3 meals)

Um das 7er-Rugby in Deutschland weiterzuentwickeln und ein noch größeres nationales und internationales Publikum nach Hannover zu locken, veranstaltet die Hannover Sevens GmbH im Rahmen der 7er-Europameisterschaft 2008 den Hannover Sevens Cup für Schüler- und Jugendmannschaften.
Dies wird das größte Nachwuchs-7er-Turnier Europas werden. Damit wird die EM gleichzeitig zum Familien- und Vereinsfest.
Das Turnier wird in allen Altersklassen (nach dem DRJ-Beschluss des ADRJT von 2007) von U8 bis U18 gespielt und beginnt am Freitag, den 11.07.2008. Organisiert wird das Turnier durch die Niedersächsische Rugby-Jugend und die Vereine vor Ort. Die Vorrunde wird am Freitag auf den Vereinsplätzen der hannoverschen Vereine gespielt. Die Finalspiele der jeweils besten 4 Teams finden in der AWD-Arena statt. Pro Altersklasse sind 16 Teams zugelassen. In allen Altersklassen wird 7er-Rugby gespielt mit einer Spiellänge von 1×10 Minuten. Ersatzspieler sind in unbegrenzter Menge zugelassen. Vereine, die über keine komplette Mannschaft verfügen, sollten trotzdem anmelden. Wir bringen dann die Partner zusammen.
Jeder teilnehmende Verein MUSS pro teilnehmendem Team einen Schiedsrichter vor dem Turnier der Turnierleitung mitteilen und zum Event mitbringen.
Unterkunftsprobleme wird es nicht geben, denn der SV Odin Hannover veranstaltet ein Rugby-EM-Camp auf seinem Gelände für ca. 600 Plätze. Zudem gibt es Kooperationen mit dem hannoverschen Tourismus-Verband. Die Jugendherberge in der Nähe des Stadions ist bereits ausgebucht.

Für das am 03.Mai 2008 geplante 10er Turnier unter dem Motto “Sport gegen Rassismus” in Weißwasser/Oberlausitz im Rahmen des Trainingslagers des TSV 1846 Nürnberg sind wir kurzfristig auf der Suche nach Mannschaften aus dem EU-Ausland. Anmeldungen werden noch bis Montag, den 07.01. entgegengenommen.
Unterkunft und Verpflegung werden KOSTENLOS zur Verfügung gestellt. Unter Umständen ist auch ein Zuschuß zu den Fahrtkosten möglich.
