Zum 19. Mal wird nächstes Jahr vom 19. bis zum 21.06.09 in Kiel das größte Rugby-7er-Turnier in Norddeutschland stattfinden wozu wir Euch herzlich einladen möchten.
Zum 19. Mal wird nächstes Jahr vom 19. bis zum 21.06.09 in Kiel das größte Rugby-7er-Turnier in Norddeutschland stattfinden wozu wir Euch herzlich einladen möchten.
Allgemeine Informationen:
Seit 1990 treffen sich Teams aus ganz Europa für ein Wochenende Rugby-spielen und feiern im Sommer in Kiel. Viele Teams reisen Freitagabend schon an, so daß man einen Abend Zeit hat, sich kennen zu lernen und warm zu feiern. Außerdem erhalten Mannschaften, die vor 22 Uhr einchecken eine Runde Freibier! Als Abend-Programm für den Samstag (nach dem Turnier) bietet sich auch ein Besuch auf der Kieler Woche an, dem größten Volksfest in Norddeutschland, welches an diesem Wochenende beginnt und die gesamte darauffolgende Woche in Kiel stattfindet.
Sportliches:
Gespielt wird im Turniermodus, je nach Anzahl der Mannschaften; Es gibt ein Herren-Turnier (max. 24 Teams), ein Damen-Turnier (max. 8 Teams), ein Old-Boys-Turnier (max. 8 Teams), ein Jugend-Turnier (max. 8 Teams) und vielleicht auch wieder ein Spiel unserer Jüngsten. Für die Jugend wird wahrscheinlich noch eine eigene Einladung folgen. Falls Ihr ein Jugend-Team melden möchtet oder andere Fragen hierzu habt, bitte einfach melden. Desweiteren wird seit 2004 unter den Teams aus dem Ostseeraum der Pokal des Baltic Masters ausgespielt. Hieran nehmen alle Mannschaften teil, welche nicht weiter als 350km von der Ostsee entfernt wohnen bzw. spielen oder aus Norwegen kommen. Selbstverständlich können auch einzelne Spieler / Spielerinnen kommen, da sich regelmässig ein oder zwei Piraten- Teams bilden.
Übernachtung / Verpflegung:
Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten bestehen entweder auf der Wiese neben dem Rugby-Platz, wenn Ihr Euch ein Zelt mitbringt, oder in der neben dem Platz gelegenen Turnhalle, wo sich auch die Duschen und Toiletten befinden. Falls Ihr hierüber genauere Informationen braucht, schreibt uns einfach eine Mail oder ruft an. Im Startgeld mit inbegriffen ist Trinken am Turniertag (Wasser und isotonische Getränke), die Übernachtungen, Physiotherapie / Massage am Turniertag sowie eine Urkunde und ein Souvenir für jedes Team. Samstag und Sonntag früh gibt es unser legendäre SWC-Frühstücksbuffet, welches Ihr für 5 € genießen könnt. Den ganzen Samstag über gibt es frisch Gegrilltes und kleine süße Snacks für wenig Geld.

Saxon7’s 2008
Men’s, Women’s and U17 Youth tournament
The beautiful baroque city of Dresden is the backdrop for this tournament which will take place on 14th (men and women) & 15th (U17) June 2008. Dresden located in the southern part of former East Germany approximately between Berlin and Prague and near both the Polish and Czech borders. The tournament will coincide with a huge street party called the “Bunte Republik Neustadt” which will be centred around Dresden’s lively Pub and Club district – the “Neustadt”.
15 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams are expected on Saturday 14th June and 15 youth teams (U17) are expected on Sunday. Each of the men’s teams and youth (U17) teams will play a minimum of 4 games in the three groups with a possible two extra games for the semi finals and finals. The women will play in two groups and will play 4-5 games each, including a cup and a plate semi finals and cup and plate finals.

Um das 7er-Rugby in Deutschland weiterzuentwickeln und ein noch größeres nationales und internationales Publikum nach Hannover zu locken, veranstaltet die Hannover Sevens GmbH im Rahmen der 7er-Europameisterschaft 2008 den Hannover Sevens Cup für Schüler- und Jugendmannschaften.
Dies wird das größte Nachwuchs-7er-Turnier Europas werden. Damit wird die EM gleichzeitig zum Familien- und Vereinsfest.
Das Turnier wird in allen Altersklassen (nach dem DRJ-Beschluss des ADRJT von 2007) von U8 bis U18 gespielt und beginnt am Freitag, den 11.07.2008. Organisiert wird das Turnier durch die Niedersächsische Rugby-Jugend und die Vereine vor Ort. Die Vorrunde wird am Freitag auf den Vereinsplätzen der hannoverschen Vereine gespielt. Die Finalspiele der jeweils besten 4 Teams finden in der AWD-Arena statt. Pro Altersklasse sind 16 Teams zugelassen. In allen Altersklassen wird 7er-Rugby gespielt mit einer Spiellänge von 1×10 Minuten. Ersatzspieler sind in unbegrenzter Menge zugelassen. Vereine, die über keine komplette Mannschaft verfügen, sollten trotzdem anmelden. Wir bringen dann die Partner zusammen.
Jeder teilnehmende Verein MUSS pro teilnehmendem Team einen Schiedsrichter vor dem Turnier der Turnierleitung mitteilen und zum Event mitbringen.
Unterkunftsprobleme wird es nicht geben, denn der SV Odin Hannover veranstaltet ein Rugby-EM-Camp auf seinem Gelände für ca. 600 Plätze. Zudem gibt es Kooperationen mit dem hannoverschen Tourismus-Verband. Die Jugendherberge in der Nähe des Stadions ist bereits ausgebucht.

We like to invite you to join our 2nd Old Boys Festival on Saturday 22nd March
and/or 8th International Youth Rugby Tournament Sunday 23rd March 2008
For the Old Boys (O35`s) Festival the maximum of teams will be eight.
There will be two full pitches to start around noon and finished at latest 16.30 hours.
A three course hot meal €7,00 will be available after the games followed by a big party.
The Youth tournament will be played in the age groups of U19/18 Colts,
U17’s and U16’s Juniors, U15’s and U14’s Cubs – all 15-a-side.
U13/s and U12’s Minis (12-a-side) U11’s and U10’s Benjamin’s (9-a-side) and U9/8’s Turven (7-a-side)
The tournament will start at 11.00 hours and finish at latest 16.30 hours.
Played by the rules of the IRB with prices for numbers one, two and three and a memory for every team.
Entrance fee will be € 75,00 per team include 22 lunchpackeges and a playing ball.
At the end of the tournament a hot meal three course meal will be available for € 7,00 per person. Also a tournament shirt shall be made; more information about this will follow in a next newsletter.

The Israeli Rugby Union will host its second International U18 & Women 7’s Rugby tournament as part of the “Eilat Games” March 6th – 8th, 2008, in Eilat, Israel. The tournament is part of a large youth Sport’s event held annually in Eilat with over 1,000 youth participants from about 20 non-Olympic sports.
Tournament Program:
Thursday – March 6th, 2008
• Arrival at Eilat – pick-up from Eilat Airport (5 minutes from hotel), Ovda Airport (30 minutes from Eilat), Ben-Gurion airport (4 hours drive from Eilat), or any designated location in Israel. A representative would meet the teams at the airport and coaches will take each team to the official tournament hotel.
• 18:00 – Meeting of team managers.
• 20:00 – Welcome event for all Eilat Games participants.
Friday – March 7th, 2008
• 10:30 – 13:30 – Tournament first day games at the Eilat Athletic Stadium.
• 16:00 – 19:00 – Sightseeing tour in Eilat area.
• 21:00 – Party for all Eilat Games participants.
Saturday – March 8th, 2008
• 10:30 – 12:30 – Tournament second day games at the Eilat Athletic Stadium.
• 13:00 – Award ceremony.
• 16:00 – Checkout from hotel, coaches will take participants to Airport or any other preferred

The International Youth Rugby Tournament of Provins welcomes teams from all around the world.
The Weekend of 3th and 4th May 2008.

In 2007 : MOSCOW ( RUSSIA ) SARACENS ( ENGLAND ) LIVORNO (ITALY)
This tournament is open to two categories of youth players: Under-15s (born in 1993 and 1994) and Under-17s (born in 1991 and 1992).
In the last 4 years we have hosted teams from:
South Africa, New Zealand,Russia , Italy
The national teams of Thailand and Luxemburg,
English, Belgium and Holland (national champions),
French departmental sides,
Their willingness to return is a testimony to the quality of our organisation.
Ten teams will be allocated to each category. The matches will be under the control of referees of the French Rugby Federation (FFR). Each participant will receive a souvenir gift.
On 3th and 4th May, the pitches are open for communal training and gatherings in friendship, emphasising the comradeship and spirit of rugby which we hold dear.
This tournament takes place in Provins, a medieval town classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This will enable the accompanying adults to enjoy themselves and for the young people to play rugby in a fantastic setting.
We will be very pleased to count you amongst our guests in 2008.

Le tournoi se déroulera le 3 et 4 mai 2008 – Il rassemblera 8 à 10 équipes par catégorie –
Les rencontres sont dirigées par des arbitres de la fédération française de rugby – Chaque participant recevra un présent
Le tournoi est ouvert à deux catégories, les moins de 15 ans ( nés en 1993 et 1994 ) et les moins de 17 ans ( nés en 1991 et 1992 )
Après le défilé en ville ( à 11 heures ) le 3 mai après – midi , le tournoi débutera –
Cette journée se terminera par un banquet ( équipe et dirigeants ) Cela favorise la convivialité et l’esprit du rugby qui nous tient à coeur.
Le 4 mai se déroulera la suite du tournoi sur toute la journée
Le tournoi se déroule à Provins , ville médiévale classée au patrimoine de l’UNESCO. Cela permet aux accompagnateurs de passer de bons moments ,de visier la ville et aux jeunes de jouer dans un cadre fantastique.

ich möchte Euch im Namen der Carinthian Matadors herzlich zum
“zwaat’n international’n Paternioner Kirchtågsturnier”
am 8. (und 9.?) September in Paternion, Kärnten einladen. Gleiches Prozedere wie beim letzten Mal: Am besten fragt Ihr die, die damals dabei waren – und sich daran erinnern können (oder wollen…)
Also: Sevens Turnier für Herren, Damen und eventuell U16. Übernachtungen können auf dem Platz stattfinden, oder Ihr feiert die ganze Nacht durch – es ist schliesslich Kirchtag.
2006 war ein voller Erfolg – sportlich für die Gäste aus Moldawien, die auf der Durchreise nach Spanien sich das Turnier nicht entgehen liessen und auch für die Gäste aus Ljubljana, die hinter RC UTM und RC STEAUA den dritten und vierten Platz belegten. Dem nicht minder wichtigen sozialen Gedanken des Turnier fröhnten vor allem Bad Reichenhall, Matadors und die Damen..!
Also, geniesst traditionelle Kärntner Gastfreundschaft und nutzt die Gelegenheit, gegen gute internationale Teams zu spielen!

Second International Carinthian Rugby Sevens
The Carinthian Matadors Rugby Football Club would like to invite international Rugby Clubs and hobby teams to participate in our Second International Carinthian Rugby Sevens to take place in Paternion, Austria on the 8th (and 9th) of September. We aim the tournament at teams that might not have such a high proficiency in playing rugby (well, we ourselves don’t…) but a keen interest in the fun aspect of the game and in meeting and playing teams from the “Rugby diaspora”. For that reason we timed the tournament to coincide with the local fair, so that traditional and less traditional entertainment can be guaranteed. There will be a Ladies’ and a Men’s competition and we are hoping to hold a U16 tournament as well.
We can arrange accommodation for the participants, it should cost no more than 35€ per person per night at the local hotels and B&Bs and campsites are also available nearby.
It is highly recommended that participants consider combining the rugger with a short holiday, the following link has relevant information as well as travel details.
We would be much obliged if you could circulate this letter among other clubs and teams or provide us with relevant contact details.

Stockholm Exiles RFC have the pleasure of inviting entries to the Stockholm International Ten’s which is being held for the 15th year in succession. We are honoured to see that our Ten’s Tournament continues to grow in popularity. In 2006 there were 64 entries in five classes, with close to 900 players participating in some 110 matches during two days of exciting rugby, while also taking the opportunity of enjoying the pleasures of the Swedish capital at its summer best.
